Do we need to pack insect repellant for our September sailing on the Golden Princess?

I was never bothered on our cruise BUT was inland years ago (Anchorage to Mt McKinley Park in August) - worst mosquitos I have ever experienced !

We just got back from our Golden Princess cruise. There were 2 times we needed insect repellent- on a bear excursion tour to Prince of Wales Island and on a river raft trip in Haines - while in Skagway. I guess it depends what you are planning. If you are not going to any woodsy areas, I would say no.

I was not bothered at all - but I agree with the "woodsy" comment. The skeeters only come out at dusk which is about 10:00 pm, and not an issue when at sea. Only if hiking.
