What is the weather generally like in June?

Trying to get an idea of what to pack and am wondering about the weather in June. Can someone give me an idea of how heavy a coat I will need and will I need boots. I realize I will need a rain jacket and I will need to layer but just exactly how cold will it be?
Thanks

The weather in Alaska could be almost anything.
I live on the BC coast , I've seen rain , sun , snow etc
in a space of 1 to 2 hrs. June is normally the driest month
in the year . But anything can happen .

So be prepared for everything including snow . This especially thru
if you take the White Pass RR or tours in Skagway.

Alaska is beautiful no matter what the weather.

There is absolutely no sense in trying to predict Alaska weather. I advocate the SAME attire necessary no matter when you go during the cruise season. Throw in a pair of shorts, along with a lined jacket, layers, knit hat, gloves, 2 pair of walking shoes, rain gear. Leave the boots home. Consider doing laundry to cut down on bulk. Mix and match what you already have.
