Need advice on Alaska cruise for US permenant residence
I am a US permanent resident with valid Green card and California ID. (Could not get the original country passport)
I checked with Royal Carribbean for Alaska cruise round trip from Seattle, they said I am legal to go but Princess cruise said I can not go because I need to have a passport and will be denied boarding. ( I want to take the cruise with Princess ship because they have good review)
Not sure which one is correct. Please, advice. Thanks a lot.
Legally you don't need a passport as long as you don't get off the ship at the mandatory Canadian port. The cruise lines, though, can apply whatever rules they want. That doesn't mean, however, that the individual you talked to at either RCI or Princess is correct about this rule - get it in writing before you book.
