Can I buy a disposable Panoramic camera in Alaska?
I am going on a cruisetour to Alaska next month and was wondering if anyone had seen a store selling a disposable panoramic camera in any of these places...
Princess Lodges in Fairbanks, Denali, or Mt McKinley Ports...Whittier, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan Ship...Sapphire Princess Obviously I can buy them online, but I would rather not pack them for the flight. It would be worth it to me to buy in Alaska (expensive, yes) and either find a place to develop the pictures or UPS the cameras home. I bought a panoramic disposable in Hawaii and it took beautiful pictures. Thank you in advance for any help or direction you can provide me. p.s. I do have a very nice camera, but, unfortunately it does not take panoramic. Certain software can help me stitch pics together, but I'd rather not. Sweet Sailing! |
Couldnt you just stitch together digital photos with editing software?

You can definitely buy one in Fairbanks, Juneau, and Ketchikan. They are reasonably priced. In Ketchikan there is a free WalMart shuttle that will pick you up and you can buy whatever you need. I live in Ketchikan, so let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks surfisla. I can't wait to visit your beautiful town.
Since I start in Fairbanks, I'd like to buy a camera there. Do you have any suggestions on where I should look? I'm staying at the Princess lodge. Any help is greatly appreciated! |
I'm pretty sure Fairbanks has a WalMart too. I'm sure there may be other stores that sell them, but if all else fails...stick with WalMart!
Do they have a free shuttle? dunno. |
Just to clarify, you know I'm looking for a Panoramic disposable, right?

Why not buy some in the lower 48. They probably are cheaper and you won't lose time looking for some . more time to see the scenery.
Why not buy a digital camera that takes panoramic pictures. |
Thanks all. After doing more research, it appears the disposable panoramic camera has gone by the wayside.
I appreciate all the help. Sweet Sailing! |
