Carnival Spirit is a great ship. No complaints at all.
I've also been to Alaska on HAL, but have been sold on Carnival for a while.
Carnival may not be for everyone, but without a doubt, it is the best cruise value there is.
Pretty much this year was the sale of the century for Alaska cruises on all cruise lines. Next years prices are higher, but probably still not back to normal.
GREAT PICS.....I have looked at everything you have posted here lately....makes me day dream at work....which is BAD....
We sail again on the Liberty in April....can't wait.
If you don't mind me asking what camera and lens do you use....it has beautiful clarity and color. I will be shopping for a new one before our next cruise and could use some suggestions.....whatever brand you have is very nice ( but then the photographer might have something to do with it also )....
The majority of the Alaska pictures were taken with a Sony DSC-HX1 which was new for me. The snorkel pictures were taken with an old Canon A710-IS with waterproof case.
I have historically used Canon cameras and love them.
Never having enough toys, I have pre-ordered a Panasonic Lumix FZ35. Hopefully it will arrive in time for me to play with a little before my upcoming Carnival Dream cruises. With 28 days on a cruise ship, I will certainly take too many pictures with all of them, as well as post too many of them.
I'm kind of interested myself to see how the two cameras stack up against each other.
