Juneau - Salmon Bake without flight

There is a salmon bake without the flight to the lodge (we did that last year and it was fantastic!).

Has anyone done the salmon bake in Juneau without the flight and is it worth the time to do it? The cost is very good and I love to eat salmon cooked over the grill the way they did it at the lodge.

Gold Creek Salmon bake does a good job for a large operation. You can buy tickets at the walk up booths on the dock. They run a continous loop bus.

But, I do, greatly, prefer Thane Ore house. In the past, with advance reservations, they did shuttle from the dock. Check what's in store for this season. http://www.thaneorehouse.com/faq.html
