Recent Denali tour review.

Does anybody have a recent Denali tour review. We are trying to figure out how and if we want to see Denali. Some of the reviews I have looked up are old and are mixed. Some thought it was a waste of money and other said it was the highlight of there trip.
The type tour we are looking at would be the School bus or?? What did you do?
We have booked the cruise for 6/4/11.

Denali was the highlight of our land tour of Alaska in 2008 .I would suggest the 8 hour tour .Any time less will not give you the full effect .

What company did you use? Was it the school bus or larger bus? Did you see lots of wildlife? How far in advance did you book?

We were on a 14 day organized tour-7 days land ,7 sea. We were in a school bus but it was quite roomy (I am 6'5).I know there were independent tours that were 4 ,6 and 8 hours .We saw a lot of wild life .

There is ONLY one company who has ALL the access into Denali Park- Aramark. All the buses are "school" bus type. But the shuttle buses now have similar bucket seats now, like the tour buses.

It is ALL about DISTANCE into Denali. The Park Road is 90 miles. My min. is Eielson, mile 66. I never consider any less. Bonus of the shuttle buses is cost. They are 1/3 the tour buses. You do have to bring in/out all your own food and drink, but well advised to do so with the tour buses, as the box lunch is skimpy. Get yourself educated on what access into the park is all about. www.nps.gov/dena
