The onboard temperatures on the cruise ships to the Caribbean have always been really cold so I was wondering how they are for the Alaskan cruise. We're going in May and I wasn't sure if I needed to bring sweaters for all my outfits or would they have heat in the common areas and restaurants.
The ships are heated but the temps in the common areas will be about the same temperature as they are in the Caribbean. I would bring the sweater if you are sensitive to cooler temperatures.
Having said that; the hottest ship I have ever been on was the Norwegian Star on an Alaskan cruise. I think they "overcompensated" for the cooler temperatures. The dining room and lounges were miserably hot. Even my heat loving wife complained.
