Default Easy Cruise

Anybody done the Caribbean summer version of Easy Cruise? I just booked it for April of 2007 for $17 a person for 7 days. I'm aware of this being the anti-cruse cruise, just wondering what others liked about it or any tips?

I have not even hear of this cruise and I have been on many. What can you tell me about this type of cruise and why is known as the anti-cruise. I would enjoy reading what you have to say about it.

It is a hotel only, rather than a cruise ship

If I am not sailing on the ocean, I can just have a vacation near where I live. I don't like anti-cruise. I need a real cruise on a real ship on the sea.

What the previous poster meant was that Easy Cruise is a carte blanc pricing format, ie. you pay for each thing separately. Here is a quote from Easy Cruise's website:

Unlike traditional cruising, easyCruise sails for just a few hours each morning arriving at each destination at around lunchtime so that you can enjoy the rest of the day and evening (until the early hours) having fun ashore and enjoying each destination to the full.

easyCruise ships feature restaurants and bars with a la carte dining offering fusion cuisine as well as a spa. Designed to appeal to younger customers than traditional cruise, the concept already has many loyal fans of all ages and nationalities that come back to easyCruise to experience a new itinerary every year.

The cabins are minimalist in design and there is something from everyone - from the most economical option which is four people sharing a quad inside cabin to suites which are more than 20 square meters and compare in comfort to any 4 star hotel on land. All cabins are made up with fresh linen and towels on arrival and have private bathroom with shower.

Like easyJet, the prices vary according to demand and they generally rise as the ship fills up so to get the best price book early. Online prices are for the cruise on a room only basis. Meals, drinks, spa treatments, tours and housekeeping services can be purchased onboard. You will need to make your own travel arrangements to get to and from the ship.

Hope that helps

I was on a cruise earlier this summer that stopped in Corfu. Easy Cruise ship was docked next to us. I had read about this company, and I expected the ship to look like a tired old ferry. I didn't go onboard, of course, but the exterior and the decks looked nice. Nothing fancy, but better than I expected. I just might try this one day myself.
