I like the entertainment currently available on cruise ships but I think it could be even better if at least once during the cruise they could put on a play. You know, something with dialogue and a plotline. It could even be a musical since the cruiselines already have plenty of singers and dancers. I enjoy the production shows already offered but it would be nice to have a story to go with the singing and dancing sometimes.
I'd like to see more reknown acts. We were fortunate to catch The Nelson Brothers (Ricky Nelson's sons and formerly known as Nelson) on RCCL's Serenade of the Seas in Feb 05. They put on an awesome show!
I like the idea of a play/musical. Boy, it would be great to see Mama Mia or Phantom of the Opera on the cruise.
Gail, a play is a great idea------a nice change from the usual song & dance routines.
I also have a suggestion. Ships should vary their entertainment and activities each season.
I sailed on the NCL Majesty in 04 & 05. The major shows were repeats, as well as the 50/60 night, and 70's party. Although we had a different cruise director in 05, he used the same routines & jokes as the previous ones.
Many of us are repeat cruisers & we want to see something new.
