Default Old Time Photos

After being on a few cruises the photo thing gets a little lame - we seem to by fewer each cruise. DH only has the one suit - he just changes the tie every cruise - so it's wearing thin as far as photo ops go.

Why don't the ships offer real old time photos of what life was like circa the Titanic and all those old liners. The costumes slip on in moments so time wouldn't really be a factor - you stand in line for a while anyway. Old fashioned swimsuits, sailor suits, old uniforms, roaring twenties outfits - well you get the picture (literally ). The backdrop could be the deck of an old ship too.

Just an idea - we get these photos done a lot on holidays - and they are fun. They also make great Christmas card photos for those of us who don't take themselves too seriously lol.

I know what you mean. DH finally bought a new suit, different color, and the pictures looked great. They offered something like you suggested on our last cruise and the waiting line was long. They also had casual photos; couples, familes....sitting on the ground, back to back or similar poses with different props, very cool and black and white photos. These all came out very nice.

I love the old time photo idea. My husband and I have posed for those at Expo in Montreal, and they do look nice.

I hope that cruiseline photographers will do it.

I was just on the Miracle and they were doing it. Looked like fun. DH and I had one done 25 years ago on our honeymoon. Wish we would have done it on the cruise for our 25th.

They've had old time photos on my last two cruises (Glory 2004 and Spirit 2005).

I just got off the Valor and they were doing old time photos as well. My teenagers loved it and the pictures turned out great.

I was on a ship this year that did this, but I don't recall which. I think it may have been Carnival's Miracle.

They were offered on the Elation also.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.

Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
