if carnival had a alaska cruise from the west coast

i would love to go on alaska cruise carnival should start one from a west
coast port bet a alot more people would cruise to alaska

I actually had to go to Carnival's website to see for myself that they don't sail from the west coast

! I think they should, too.

You may have to try another cruise line (I know you LOVE Carnival) that cruises out of Seattle

!

Carnival does Alaska out of Vancouver - can't get much farther west than that

PSA prevents this unfortunately. The Congress needs to revoke it.

Hi Jim,

Princess, HAL, RCL, and NCL all list roundtrip cruises from Seattle.

Princess lists RT from San Francisco, too.

So why can't Carnival sail from Seattle or SF or some other US west coast city?

I don't understand

Carnival does one way cruises so that cannot be done I believe.

that is easily bypassed by a stop in a Canada port like Victoria or Vancouver. Several lines cruise out of Seattle and San Francisco to Alaska.

My tip, if you are spending hard earned money. Then dont limit your experience too what your favourite line gives you as a cruising option.

Look further and to other lines, its all there and just as good. You never know, you may find a line to equal your expectation of Carnival

I agree. I have done 10 cruises, 4 of them Carnival but we have been on 4 other lines-RCCL, HAL, Princess and Disney and in February I go on my 11th with Celebrity.

I like trying different lines and besides as long as the cruiselines have competition they will keep improving things-if they don't have competition but have alyal group who keeps cruising with them-there is no need for them to improve things.

Take RCCL for ex. that used the be a great line but in my opinion they have gone down-hill. I think it is because they have such a loyal base of customers-they sale well so WHY should they improve things?
