I was one of the ones that was on the delayed sailing of the Sensation. The only complaint I have about the delay is that we only got announcements about every three hours.
If someone had just come on about every half hour and stated that they still didn't know anything, but acknowledge that we are out there, it would have made it easier to handle.
Without the announcements, we felt abandonded. I know that what happened was so not typical of Carnival, and I still had a great time on the cruise, but the waiting would have been easier if they had just acknowledged us.
We got a $50 shipboard credit and 25% off our next 3-5 day cruise. I was out a total $106 for the lost day, so this totals more than I lost, however, my TA is working on having the 25% applied to my current booking because I take a 3-5 day cruise about once every 10 years (I ususally book 7-14 nights). We will see what she can do, if she can't get them to budge, then I guess I will have to just take another 4 day cruise (darn! ).
