Best Caribbean Ports of Call?

We have a choice of:
1) Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, Dominica, St Thomas and Princess Cays OR
2) Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, St. Kitts, St Thomas and Princess Cays
(Both early January)

What do we like - great scenery, culture, architecture; secondary, shopping and beaches. We like less commerical stops over all.

So which itinerary would you chose and why?

Pick your No. 1. Dominica is probably the most non-touristy island in the caribbean. Also, I don't think Grenada or Bonaire is over touristy.

I would go with the second choice. The Dutch Antilles, which include both Aruba and Bonaire, seemed very safe but rather bland to me. I like dramatic scenery and learning more about other cultures. Barbados is one of my all time favorites.

#1 - Aruba has interesting history and good dives. Grenada loved it

Last time I was in St Lucia the children begging really ruined for me.
