Yes, buying the postcards from the different ports is never a problem. Mailing them was a problem for us. Plan ahead and know or buy your postage because different ports use different stamps, not US. Then finding a place to mail them was a problem in some ports. If we didn't find the local post office, sometimes we were able to leave it in the stores right at the docks. Not all postcards have made it home. Good Luck!

We are going to Grand Cayman, Labadee, Cozumel and Ocho Rios. Is any one of these better and easier than the other? How do I find out about postage requirements in these areas?
You can also mail them at the purser's desk. I know it's not as cool as getting them directly from each port, but I stopped doing that years ago, since I would sometimes end up spending most of my port time trying to mail someone a postcard. To me, that defeats the purpose of going, if the only thing I experience is their post office!

If the mail is picked up or they go to port to mail it, you will have to have that country's postage. Check with the pursers for the mailing info your first day on ship to help plan. They also have the different stamps available.
