Default NCL 7 day Pride of Hawaii -- Passport required?

Traveling with my husband and I, and my parents. We all have passports, but my 1 year old does not.

This itinerary does not go to Fanning Island, it goes only to Hawaiian ports. Anyone know if we'll be able to board w/o her having a passport? I called the Gov. office and was told that I can still get one if I expedite it, but I'd rather not at this point if it's not necessary.

Also, does anyone have a tip on where to get an ID made for her (just picture/name, description)? I would like to get it done anyway, even w/o traveling, but it seems like it is especially important for travel.

Thanks so much! I have enjoyed lurking and reading everyones' posts and am looking forward to my first cruise.

Naomi

If you are sailing POH on the 7 day through the Hawaiian Islands you never leave the U.S., so no passport necessary (if you're American).

Thanks Kuki!

I realized a bit ago that my questions should have gone in the Newbie section.

I'll post there in the future.

Seriously, there really is no "right place" to post any questions.... except maybe the "Gripes Board"

You might still consider getting your child a passport.

When I was 2 my family traveled over to Ireland (where my grandmother is from). My 25 year old passport with the one Irish stamp in it is one my most treasured belongings. It might be for your child too.

Plus it sure does put that travel bug in you Carla
