Default port and exit taxes

I am booking my first caribbean cruise, and am confused about the taxes and fees I have to pay.
Seems different agencies charge dif. fees ranging from $32.00 to $186.00 for the same fees, for the same ship, same cruise and same dates.
Are the high ones that require i pay them for these fees up front ripping me off??
Please Help!!!

tegdig,

I usally go to the web site of the cruise line and go through the motions of booking the cruise I am interested in and when I get to the screen that shows the cost of the cruise including taxes and fees, I use that as a basis for shopping on line. Most of the time if the agency you are using exceeds the price that you got from the cruise line it is extra fees added on by that agency.

Just another tip, some agencies will add those charges into their price, while others don't. I wish they all would, so we can compare apples to apples, you know?
