anyone ever get off before the last stop of the cruise? is this even possible?
It is possible and if you wish to do so you should pre-arrange it with your travel agent before you board. This way the cruise line will know you are departing.
There are reasons why you could not do it.
1. If it violates the PSA (Passenger Services Act). This means you can't depart the vessel until you and the vessel make one stop in a foreign port. I.E. Costa Maya
2. The port does not have the immigration services required to process you for final departing from the ship.
3. The cruise line can just be jerks and say no. It's work for them to do this.
You will always be allowed to leave the ship if you have a medical emergency or if there is an emergency at home. I doubt you would be stopped if you took your luggage and walked off but then again............
ONE MAJOR THING: HAVE A PASSPORT!!! YOU WON'T GET HOME WITHOUT ONE.
