Default Cruising has created a monster of me!

Before I cruised I was happy with silver earrings and other jewellery. I liked silver, it looked good, and it was affordable. I didn't feel the need for anything flashy or sparkly. No, it just wasn't me. Well cruising has changed that!

I didn't feel the need to go nuts and buy jewellery in January when I went to the Western Caribbean, I didn't have the money to really spend, so I bought the gold by the inch instead and realized that wasn't such a bargain.

My september cruise changed everything, oh ya, my tastes have changed. Silver will not do anymore, no, diamonds and other gemstones are preferrable. Something took over in my and my need for diamonds has kicked in big time. I bought a very nice ring on the ship for $500 (a very nice sparkly ring). Once I got home it didn't stop there, no, it got worse.....I have since bought another diamond ring--a Canadian diamond (Polar Ice)-- and it is simply stunning, small (.20 carat) but the setting is amazing and the sparkle is out of this world! Two weeks later the temptation took me again when I thought the small .20 carat single stud I bought for my single hole (earring) was a wee small and wanted something closer to a half carat. Bigger meant another Canadian diamond stud earring, this time a .31 carat--it's fabulous and I love it. Now my bank account isn't crying and the credit card is not worrying, so I went shopping today and just happened to see a stunning pair of princess cut Canadian diamond earrings (.24 carat) --I l love em! I had plenty of choice to buy, since the mall had around 10 jewellery stores (and it is a fair size mall). I wanted to look, but I didn't think I'd buy.....I did.....

Needless to say my "rainy day" money I set aside has a little less money in it now, er well, it will when the credit card is paid off. I suppose it is good that I don't like to wear necklaces because I would be going after a diamond pendant next...hmm, maybe that is what I will look for while on the ship in February.....uhm, maybe.......

I really need to win me the lottery because I really need to get me more Canadian diamonds...alas, if I didn't step into the jewellery store onboard and say yes to some gems, I wouldn't be confessing I am a newfound jewellery addict!!!!!!!

Maybe I'll take up that one stores offer of financing......NOOOOOOOOOO

I'll say. I hope the finances are ok.

You go girl!

I love my bling - and my bling is the real thing. No faux stuff for me.
