I have seen several people mention that they have picked up cheap snorkeling gear from Walmart. I have never found it at Walmart or on Walmart.com. Anyone have any idea where to buy inexpensive snorkel gear? Any websites?
I bought a nice snorkel and mask (Body Glove) for around $30 from Dick's Sporting Goods. To me that's a reasonable price to avoid cooties and germs from rental equipment. Check these out:
I picked up a nice set from Sams club a few months ago. ~$27

YaY! I just bought our Snorkel stuff at Sports Authority. Its aBodyglove brand that included flippers, snorkel, mask and bag for 39.95. Thats as cheap as I could find them around my area. I could have probably waited till summer and got a better deal but I just couldnt wait!
Well, Im off to snorkel in my bathtub for 8 more months!

flippers? haven't heard that term in a while, that is what I used to call them when I was a kid............a long time ago
I think they call them fins now. Listen, if you have a Sam's Club nearby, yesterday I saw that same Body Glove Set (mask, snorkel and Flippers ) for $29
You know what? I actually went to Sams Club right AFTER I bought my 'flippers'. I didnt even think about looking there. Maybe Ill return them and get them for cheaper at Sams. I absolutely Love Sams Club!
Thought I'd just chime in about prescription snorkel/scuba masks. RCCL SoS does not have a dive shop like the Golden did, so we won't be able to rent prescription scuba masks. I searched the internet and found a few different places to order prescription scuba masks for under $70. When I rented them on the Golden they were $35 a week! So in two cruises they'll paid for themselves. If you are nearsighted and don't wear contacts prescription masks are the way to go. If you're interested in them just google prescription scuba masks or check ebay.
