Taxi from Rome airport to Civitavecchia Port

Has anyone taken a taxi from Rome's FCO airport to the Civitavecchia port? How much is the fare? Is it reliable? Did you have any problems? Any info would be appreciated, thank you!

shuttle is about €40 which is approcimately $60, safe and reliable.
That's from Cittavecchia (Old City) to Fiumicino.

I have heard the train runs hourly and that it is very inexpensive. Should be easy to find out.

I believe tha Cap is referring to the cruise line shuttle.

We made arrangements with a local limo company before going to Rome last year. We found (on-line) a group of cruisers who were meeting on board and were able to share rides from Rome to the cruise ship and from the ship to the airport after the cruise. It saved us lots of money and we met some great people. The service we used was headed up by Stefano. I believe the name of his company was Rome Cabs and he is highly recommended.

I just looked up the e-mail for Stefano in Rome. He is the best. I sent him a request last week for recommendations of hotels and B&B's in Rome for next year and he answered promptly. He was so highly recommended to us and I will continue to recommend him. His e-mail is: allagrande@hotmail.it
