Default Mercury, room behind guest relations ??too noisy

We are booked on Celebrity Mercury in July. Inside room 5070 is right behind the guest relations desk. Has anyone had problems with a stateroom this close to the desk and atrium?

Just the opposite! We've booked these cabins behind guest relations many, many times, and frankly they are our favorite cabins on the entire ship! They are very very convenient to everything. The passageway outside these cabins is extra wide, and we've never experienced any extra noise while staying in these cabins. Give 5070 a shot,,,I'll bet you love the location, and the cabin!

On the Volendam we stayed in a cabin beside the elevator and above the engine space. Didn't have a p[roblem with noise at all.

Only Time I ever had a problem with noise was when staying at a motel 6 in Glendale, IL That was because the payphone was outside my room, so i asked to be moved. Never had a problem on a cruise.
