I was just checking out the weather for our trip next week - we're travelling the eastern caribbean to PR, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. It looks like the ENTIRE first half of the week will be rained in - meaning our stops in PR and ST will be 'a wash'. Is rain in this area like rain in FL in that it will pour for ten minutes and then be sunny? Or should I plan on packing lots of rain clothes?
I'm really hoping to work on my, currently non-existant, tan
It can go either way honestly..I have been in St Thomas, where like in Florida, it can pour for ten minutes then then the sun will break through, or like in Grand Cayman, unbelievable rain all day, and a hard rain....
Take one of those raincoats that fold up into a small plastic envelope, you can get these in Walgreens, etc..and smile through the raindrops;)

We have been on 8 cruises in March and April and have only been rained upon for about 30 minutes total. I remember one time when people on the ship had some rain, and we were not being rained on as we were on the ferry over to St. John. Those clouds come and go, and showers usually don't last but a few minutes. I am sure you will have a great sunny cruise!
