Default Cruise Booking

When you book a cruise and pay your deposit is your price locked in? If the cruise goes up a week later does that affect you? What about if they start offering bonuses? Does that affect you?

Unless there is a price drop. If you bring this to the attention of your TA, he should be able to get the new price for you.

So, the price you book at will not change if there is an increase, but may decrease if circumstances permit.

Not only that, but you can get your deposit back if something comes up that necessitates cancelling your trip....up to the final payment date. After that there are increasingly severe penalties. Good idea to have travel insurance by final payment date.

My cruise price has dropped on the web site. They are also offering $100. ship credit. Do you think they will honor it. Or will it be too late because I have already booked?

Once when the price of a booked cruise had a substantial price drop, the TA I used at the time cancelled the original and rebooked at the new lower rate. It was early enough to do this.

Default i'm still waiting

I'm waiting to see. Smartcruiser has not let me know yet. The cruies price has dropped, not alot but alittle. But they are offering $100. on board credit. But I haven't got a reply from them yet. If they charge me to cancel and then to rebook it would hardly be worth it.

Default Just a word about Smartcruiser

It is for new bookings only and cancel and rebooking does not apply. So if the Cruise that you have booked goes on sale Smartcruiser will not honor the sale price. So beware.
