Travel Irons Allowed?
Does anyone know whether travel irons are allowed in the cabins? I would guess not, as they can pose a fire hazard if improperly used.
I know clothes become an awful sight after trapped in the suitcase/rummaged by TSA on multi-leg flights....and smashed in the suitcase for two days, when arriving a day in advance of departure.
If no one knows for sure...I'll call Princess to find out.

NOPE,,No heating devices allowed. Irons, heating pads, etc. Get some spray "wrinkle out" stuff, and don't worry about it. Everyone else will be a bit wrinkled as well.....

No irons allowed but some people take steamers. Recently Celebrity added these to he banned list as well. Not sure about Princess. Kind of silly really. Are they going to ban steam hair curlers or curling irons? I have taken a steamer but didn't use it much. Search the best methods for packing clothes to avoid wrinkles ie. roll a dress around a rolled up T-shirt. Hang garments up when you board and hang items in the bathroom when you are taking a steamy shower.

Yep Laura,,,I recently read that heating pads were banned as well. Of course we know that they also won't allow the little heaters that will heat one cup of tea, or almost any kind of electric heater. Some careless folks ruin it for all the rest I suppose,,,but I certainly wouldn't want to deal with a fire aboard!

OH,,,SO SORRY Jane. I saw CruzNut,,,and my mind saw NUT2. Anyway, I don't know what the source of the info I saw was, but I'm assuming that anything using electrical resistance type heating is banned. It's O.K. with me,,,,I'll continue cruising anyway...

Irons
Princess ships have irons onboard most ship, go to there web-site and view the deck plan, you will see the laundry room on most decks.excluding Plaza/Lido decks.

Thanks - Called Princess & Yes, Free On Board Irons
I called Princess right after posting this question - shoud have done that anyway. They don't allow any "heating" devices in the cabins, including irons. But they have free ironing boards/irons in each laundry room.
