Default Who signs passport for 14 year old?

Where it says "Signature of Bearer"??? Can a 14 year old sign it her/him self?

I looked at the Passport website, and it says if a child is too young to write, the parent can sign for the child.

I thought maybe if the child is still a minor, a parent should sign it?? But didn't see anything on the website about it.

The parent or guardian signs it.

IF the child is under the age of five or six and can't write then the parent/guardian signs. If they know how to write their name, they they sign...

My niece was nine when she got her passport and she signed it herself!!!

Kiddo (now 13) signs his own. Also has his own credit card - he's signed for his own cruise tabs since 8. 8)
