Default Customs in Paris

We will be flying from Houston to Paris, then Paris to Barcelona on Air France. Since we will still be flying Air France, when we go through customs, will be have to claim our luggage then check back in for our next flight?

Thanks,
Kathy

No: If you are just changing planes in Paris (connecting flight) you will not go through customs. You will never leave the airport.

When you check you bags in Houston you will check them through to Barcelona. You won't see your bags again until Barcelona....... hopefully

Take care,
Mike

A small correction to Mike's answer...

You do not have to claim your bags but you do go through EU immigration in Paris, not Barcelona. You need to check your flights and determine wich terminals you land in and depart from at CDG as time required and procedures are a bit different. The flight from Paris to Barcelona is a "domestic" flight and has no immigration/customs procedures.

Enjoy your cruise.

Yep,
Marc is correct. I was concentrating on the luggage and not the people.

You will go through immigration in Paris.

Take care,
Mike

Yes EU customs will be in Paris and not in Barcelona.
