Default Stateroom E731 Golden Princess Advice urgenlty needed.

We are travelling on the Golden Princess on 15th October 2008 and have been allocated cabin E731 which I see is aft on the ship. I have a phobia of rushing water and it's associated noise and think this may not be the cabin for us. Can anyone help me out with any inofrmation on this cabin as I need to change cabins if this will be a big issue. Thanks for any advice given.

You are 40' or more above the water. This is not a motorboat on a lake, there is little if any noise from the wake of the ship. I don't think that you will have any trouble. If you do, just don't go out onto the balcony.

There are people who would kill for that room.

Finally, call Princess and see if they can swap you a different cabin.

Next time consider booking a definite cabin rather than a guarantee.

Have a great trip!!!

Hi! I wouldn't worry about it too much. We've sailed on the Grand, the Golden, and the Caribbean lots of times, (All basically the same ship) and I don't think you'll have a noise problem at all in that cabin. The only source of noise that I see is from the Vista Show lounge directly below your cabin. You might get to experience the shows there more than once.
Have a super cruise. Princess is excellent!

Thanks for your advice everyone. In view of my phobia and after speaking with Princess we've changed cabins. This way someone who appreciates the cabin more will hopefully be able to enjoy it to it's full extent. Looking forward to our next adventure with Princess.
