Default Norwegian Cruise Line(NCL) vs. Princess-3 or 4 Days Bahamas

Which would be the better option for a 3-4 days Bahamas getaway? I am in my late 20s and am really trying to take a short mini-vacation to familiarize myself with both one of the cruise lines, but especially with cruising since this would be my first trip. As of right now I am planning a solo trip. I will be on Carnival in March for a 7 day trip and thought I might stay in Miami a few days prior in December to get a PADI Open Water scuba certification(so I can do the fun dives on the Carnival cruise). Which line would you suggest to just get used to the experience of cruising? I have looked at both and both seem to be well designed cruise lines.

I prefer NCL, but it is open seating dining. Princess is assigned seating, which is more traditional and more representative of cruises in general. Either one would work, but for the purposes of educating yourself, since you already are doing Carnival, I would go NCL so that you understand the differences in dining options.
Just MHO.

I would have to say do NCL, just because I think, for your age group, Princess might be, a bit too laid back...with all the dining choices on NCL, you may meet up with other single cruisers more easily.....

Default on a note

I will have to get to both eventually because I will have to be able to know the differences of each of the 5 mainstream lines(Carnival, NCL, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Disney) in order to properly make unbiased recommendations to clients based on perosnal experiences and not on the brochures(which are always biased to the line that prints them) as a travel agent(once I am open for business).

Princess does NOT do 3 - 4 day Bahama cruises......your choices are Carnival, NCL and Royal Caribbean.
