Somewhere on one of these Forums was a to do list. One item was take a night light for the bathroom we did and it was one of the best thing done, just enough light to see without hurting your eyes and just enough light to make the bathroom seem bigger. It does work.
A mini flashlight works wonders for the treacherous trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I have a LED mini flashlight that runs off of watch batteries (it's also a laser pointer).
Sylvania has new spot bot lights that you can bring and leave on the counter in the bathroom to turn on to shed a wee bit of light in the bathroom without turning the light on and blinding yourself late at night!!!

You are correct about the bathroom outlet...only works for shavers. We take an extension cord and plug the nightlight into that. Then, position it so that it is not in our eyes as we try to sleep!

On most of my cruises, as you look at the bathroom door, from your bed, leaving the door ajar just a bit, leaves just the right amount of light showing at the bottom of the door....just enough to light your way....

I used to leave the bathroom light on and the door ajar. Until we had a cruise with rough seas. Had to choose between no light at all or the bathroom door banging open and shut all night. Never did figure out how to fix that. Plus, walking into the bathroom with the light on was a real eye opener! Just too bright.

well, i suppose we all have to 'suffer' a little bit, don't we? i just leave the bathroom light on and close the door. that, along with the little light that shines beneath the cabin door, plus the moonlight, is enough. it really isn't an issue, is it?
if it is, for some reason, i just turn on the overbed lights, and not the cabin lights, and that suffices. ahhhh, the sacrifices we make.
You really don't have to suffer - get a mini flashlight ... or two (one for each of you) and you not only can find your way to the bathroom but it won't wake you up with a bright light - nor your roommate!

Bingo, CruzNut. My hubby has problems sleeping and light wakes him up. So, unless I want to make him miserable...and grumpy...on our vacation, I have to factor that in.
SO, Hombre, we all have different perspectives, sarcasm is SO helpful, isn't it?
Marty
No problem, hombre. I may have just taken it the wrong way....had a bad day or something. I'm pretty cheery, but the family dog and I are both having tummy problems. ANyway, cruise friends are priceless, so I'll get over it.....wait a minute. There, I'm over it.

Happy cruising
My big to do thing is to call my credit card and let them know I'm going on a cruise. Sometimes Credit Card Companies will block your card, because of charges out of the country. That is why it's important they put a note on your account.
