We're going on RC Vision of the Seas, Mexican Riviera in two weeks. This is our first cruise and I'm wondering how hard - or easy - it will be for vegetarians to eat! Anyone else here a veggie like me? What about dining on excursions?
Theye will have vegetarian options for every meal. Especially the bigger cruise lines (like Royal Caribbean). I won't say it is "gourmet" vegetarian but it also isn't like an afterthought - they have many vegetarian cruisers every cruise.

Are you a Vegetarian or a Vegan? Do you eat fish, milk, eggs, or daily products? It's my understanding the Vegans don't eat anything that comes from animals. On the other hand some Vegetarians eat fish. There are a lot of seafood dishes on the cruise lines.

We have veggie friends who took a 9 day Princess cruise and gained as much weight as I do...and I'll eat anything. They were impressed with the number of options they had. You might also want to contact the cruise line through whoever booked your cruise and give them your specific needs. They are all pretty good about adapting to passengers' dietary requests.
Happy chowiing down on the cruise!

It gets confusing, doesn't it? lol A vegetarian does not eat animals of any kind, including fish. Unfortunately it gets muddled because some people call themselves a vegetarian even when they eat fish - or sometimes they mean they don't eat red meat!
I do eat dairy, so I can't call myself a vegan. Though I strive to eat as little dairy as possible.
Sounds like I'm going to be able to put on a few pounds like everyone else! Thanks all for the feedback!
I'm a fellow Californian so I have run across both vegetarian and Vegans. And so confused people who didn't know what they were. It was interesting learning about Tofu Turkey for Thanksgiving. As a Vegetarian you will have a lot more choices then a vegan and you should be fine. Here is a sample RCCL dinner menu. Have a fun cruise.

RCCL has great veggie curry options in the Windjammer, too! My sister is a vegetarian and we are preparing to take our 3rd cruise together. She has always enjoyed the variety of selections and quality of vegetarian offerings. Enjoy!
