Default Passport Card

I justed booked a cruise on NCL Majesty. Our last Cruise was before the Passport was required (took Birth Certificates) anyways... Has anyone gotten the Passport Card for non air travel? Seems like that would be our best bet since we don't have any plans on Flying out of the Country just Crusing. It will be My husband and Me and our 2 year old.

Thanks for you help!

Hi,

Just a heads up on that. You can NOT use the passport card to travel by air. You can use it for getting on the cruise ship but if you have to leave your cruise for any reason and fly back home your hosed.

When it comes down to it. If something happened to you or the other person you are traveling with what will you do if you have to get off at port to fly home on an emergency basis? Passport card would be no good.

I know it is a bit extra comparing the prices but it better to be prepared for the unexpected on this one!

Thank you for your replies. We have already applied for our Passports. Don't want to chance anything.

Not that being stuck in the Bahamas would be a bad thing if you think about it, just don't want to be sick and stuck in the Bahamas!
