Norwegians cruise ages

I have been an a lot of cruises royal caribbeanand carnival. I have never been on a Norwegian before. My parents are going in May and asked me to go. I'm 19 and I don't really want to go if Norwegian is going to be a older ship. Is there a lot of older people on these ships?

Any cruise someone else is paying for is a great cruise. HAHA That being said.... NCL does not have the pool games or many of the activities your use to on Carnival and RCCL. I would say it depends on the length of the cruise as to how many people your age will be on the ship. I say try it. See what you think.

I don't think that you will find much age difference between NCL and the others. They all basically appeal to the same market segment. Just be sure and go to any singles get togethers, because that is where you will find others your age. On the older, smaller ships, it used to be easier to find folks by just going to areas where activities were, but on the big ships they have npw, it'sa lot tougher.

NCL is a contemporary cruise line. It's going to probably have the same age ranges as Royal Caribbean or Carnival. I'm fairly sure there will be plenty of things to do, and people there your age...

Search the archives of the Seattle Times for August of 2005. You will never go Norwegian once you read the article. They burned us too. Royal is the best and I hope Celebrity is too, their sister line.

The truth of the matter is that while you will always find a certain age range on any given line predominating, there will be people of all ages aboard any ship. My advice is go and have fun. There will always be something available for you to do, though you certainly do not have to do anything.

I have cruised on NCL many times and I found that the age demographics are about the same as you would find on Carnival or Royal Caribbean. The average age being somewhere around 50. (Remember, an average means there are as many under 50 as over.)

Usually, the longer the cruises will attract more older cruisers.

There are pool games, rock walls (on newer ships) and many other activities on NCL. I found it about equal to Royal Caribbean.

Take care,
Mike
