hi, cruisemates. hope you can help. i am booked on a may8 sailing of the hal maasdam from ft.laud to montreal -- fifteen days. most of the ports i am familiar with, but this cruise also calls at the town of sagueny, sept-iles, and gaspe, all, i think, in quebec. calling up these places on the internet yields pretty grim results as far as 'things to do' there. even hal has no, yes zero, shore excursions listed for gaspe and sept-iles, and nothing attractive for sagueny -- yes, i know the fjord there is beautiful, and the ship does cruise the fjord. question: anyone ever been to these ports and what did you do when you were there? or are they on-ship days for all it matters? thanks for your help.
I have traveled several Canadian ports. Most of the ports are lovely little towns that have wonderful little villages with shops(No big shopping just cute little home shops). No big excursions or anything like that. It's very laid back. Find a pub and enjoy the beauty of the place. You'll also probably find some great food.
Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.
