Default Suitcases need weight watchers....!

Have you found since the new baggage regulations have gone into effect that, they are really being vigilent in following through with charges for overweight baggage?

I know, years ago, we were quite overweight on one bag, and because the man would have had to take the bag inside himself, he let it go. I had my wallet out at the ready, but, his laziness saved us money..I know things would/should, be much tighter now.

I had to buy an extra suitcase in Savanah GA once because both our bags were overweight < 5lbs. Cheaper than the overweight bag fee and before per bag changes.

It's another nuisance that we have to deal with.

Yep, now they have you weigh your bag before you check in, even if its one pound over, you will get charged....Its not easy packing these days.

When I do fly, which isn't often, I pack a collapsible nylon duffel in an outside pocket of my suitcase. That way, if I am over, it is quick and simple to move some things to the duffel and stay under the limit. The duffel isn't very big, but it has earned its keep many times over.

8) How big was the overweight bag, and what was packed in it? Our big bags have come to about 35-40 lbs. What did they charge you? 8)
