Default Getting There "Seattle to Vancouver"

How do I go about getting to the pier from Sea/Tac Airport area and if the cruise leaves on Saturday when should I leave to get there on time? I also would rather not rent a car if possible.

I haven't done it yet, but I understand many take Amtrac from Seattle to Vancouver. $27. I think you almost have to do an overnight in Seattle though.

I'm looking myself right now so maybe some others have suggestions.

The options are as follows

1 - Quickshuttle from Seatac -suggest overnight in Vancouver

2 - Amtrac -Overnight in Van or Seattle

3 - Greyhound

4 - Airlines

5 - Rental car.

If using ground transport allow at least 5 hrs to tavele from Seattle to

Also check to see if the cruise line has a Sea/Tac transfer available.

A rental car is the "best" way to do the transfer.

If you are going into Sea/Tac an overnight in Vancouver is almost a requirement.

Take care,

I am traveling from Boston to Vancouver for our July cruise.

I found that there is no easy or cheap way to get there.

The cheap flight to Seattle is negated by a forced overnight stay there and then transportation (either car rental, bus or train) from Seattle to Vancouver. For a family of 4, this adds up quickly.

This also adds a day of travel coming and going to our itinerary that we can't afford to waste.

So we bit the bullet and are flying straight to Vancouver. Slightly more $ but we get to Vancouver in 8 hrs instead of 24+ hrs and only requires one travel day.

Next time = I sail from Seattle. Lessons learned.
