Default Cruise Insurance

Hello,

I have been on two cruises and used the default cruise insurance. I am curious if there are other insurance programs that are better. I will be doing my own air arrangements and RCCL willl only do 75% in cruise credit if I have to cancel because of air travel problems. While I am arriving a day early I still worry since I will be traveling from Denver in March when freak snow storms hit.
Thanks for any help

Insuremytrip.com gives you the abilty to have side by side comparisons, after you plug in your pertinent info, which is a good advantage. Most important for me at this point in time, is to be covered in case of the need to be medivaced off the ship, as well, as trip interuption.

I know some people who, had the need of this high medical coverage, and while it took a bit to get reimbursed, they would have been in real hot water otherwise...

Shelllid:

Cruise line insurance is designed to protect the cruise line as much, or more, than it is to protect you. Cruise line insurance is better than no insurance but there are better policies out there.

I strongly suggest that you take the previous posters advice and get a different insurance. It will offer better coverage and probably a lower price.

Take care,
Mike

Default Cruise Insurance

There is a site on the internet that will let you compare insurance polices as well as it provides ratings fro the insurance companies providing various coverages. We have used this for years and have always found the service and companies listed reliable. There are several sites from which you can compare. Just type in "travel insurance compare" on Google then check out the various sites.
