Someone told me you're allowed to take a case of water or soda onboard. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it a case per person? Or one case per cabin?

Thank you
This is cruise line specific. Each line has their own rules on if or how much.
You have to read the cruiselines rules on bringing beverages aboard.
Some use the word "reasonable amount" such as a 12 pk of either or each.
Alcohol is a whole different story.
Just know that if you do want to bring something, buy it in the port you are sailing from, don't buy it at home and try to pack and fly with it.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
do a search here in CruiseMates on "alcohol policies by cruise line" - we have done the story. Carnival Corp ships, generally yes, Royal Caribbean, generally no, Celebrity yes, NCL no.
It varies - look around , you will find it.

Actually, you should never fly on embarkation day. If I can bring a drink on board, I will get it from the port city after my flight. If not, I will not cry over spilled milk. Certainly it is possible to buy something before departure, right?
If you can take on a "factory sealed" water bottle you can take in liquor. There's a site that sells the sealed caps called camocaps. net and all you have to do is take off the old and put on a new one.
