Default Non-Gambling Cruises

I have been on two cruises to date: Disney and NCL. On Disney, instead of gambling facilities they had movie theatres and a stage for plays. On NCL, those large spaces were for casinos and smoke filled bars. Our family didn't enjoy NCL, as we often had to walk through those casinos and bars to get to dining facilities, cabins, etc.

My question is thus: Is Disney the only cruise line that has movie theatres instead of gambling casinos and smoking bars? I really want to do another family cruise with our kids, but Disney has nowhere near the discounts of the other well known cruise lines.

Off the top of my head I only know of NCL's Pride of America, that cruises the Hawaiian Islands, that does not have a casino.

Celebrity, Azamara and Oceania do not allow smoking in their casinos. Even though you may have to go through them it may be a bit more tolerable for you.

Take care,
Mike

Welcome, the casinos are a bit of fun for most, some make them a focal point, hardly anyone allows smoking now.

You also may want to look into a Bermuda cruise. There was some talk of allowing the casino on board to stay open while in port, but I guess, it never went through so, while you are docked in Bermuda, the casino's are closed, but. there is also less entertainment on board as well, so, a trade off..
