Question Extension cord

If I pack an extension cord in my luggage will it go through the baggage check okay? I'm picturing them thinking it's a bomb or something. Or should I put it in my carry on bag?

Take a power strip..you will need it for all the electronics, and, hair equipment at the desk area.

We take an extention cord that has 4 plugs. We wrap it up and stick it in my husband's dress shoe. My son brought a power strip once but it is too big and bulky for the 2 of us.

I'd pack it - the less you have going through the security check point the better.

Pack it in your checked luggage and be sure it's in excellent shape. Only use it in your cabin when you are there. When you're done recharging, unplug it and put it away. (Some Room Steward's on Carnival have been told to "confiscate" any extension cords, no matter what condition they're in .)

While I'm all for safety, I'm afraid they've gone "overboard" on this!

Fern is correct:

Carnival and other cruise lines are cracking down on extension cords and power strips.

Go ahead and pack one but make sure you put it in your checked baggage and please make sure they are UL listed and in excellent shape.

Take care,
