I am trying to figure out whether any other cruise line lets you change the name of the person you are cruising with. I want to go on a cruise, but I'm not sure who is going to come with me. I can plan now, but I'll only really know a month or so beforehand, and I want to book several months into the future.
This seems like it would be a common enough question, but I find conflicting info on it. Some say that I need to pay a $100 fee to change the name, others say they won't do it. Does anyone know which cruise line makes this the easiest?
I have done this before on Carnival. booked the cruise, paid the deposit for 2 people ... the 2nd person was "TBA" to be announced later. Once there was a $50.00 charge to edit/change the name, and once no charge at all. Ask your TA what they can do for you ... or just book it as solo and add the other person before final payment.

final payment on most cruises is due 90 days prior to sailing, try to pin down your sailing companion, tell them that you are booking now, to get the sailing date and the cabin that you want, you are going to book your own and if they wait they might have to pay a higher price or be out of luck with a sell-out
