Worst cabin was more environmental - lots of families on spring break - very full cabins, lots of door slamming and kids yelling in the halls. PLUS we had a water leak from two decks above (not our cabin's fault but hey).
Best cabin is an aft balcony on our last cruise.

Coral Princess - tour starts 5/31 in Fairbanks
Best cabin (or should I say Stateroom) was on the QEII, Katrina & I are always battling over the aircon, but we found this one room which was not only massive for QEII standards, but also had a separate air-con unit over one of the beds ( the room was fixed in a twin config ).
Worst one was also on the QEII, it was so small tha we refered to is as our cab as they couldn't fit the whole word cabin on the door. We turned up with the steward just as the luggage arrived & had to play a logic game to work out who should move where in the room without us all getting blocked.
We were almost in need of the steward coming in each moring with a crowbar to help squueze me out of the bed
Some things just aren't what they used to be - thank goodness

Worst that is hard to say, I guess Viking Serenade port hole room. We didn't realize it at the time. I remeber the shower being super small.
Best was Balcony on Infinity to Alaska. I hated Celebrity it doesn't suit me. However, we saw some amazing things from the balcony. A mother and baby whale swimming along the calm waters of the inside passage. It was early morning the sun was just coming up. The ocean was still, the air was still, the sky was golden and the puffs of water coming from the whales blow holes were the only sounds of the morning. Henry it is to bad you didn't use your balcony in Alaska. Alaska is what made that cabin the best cabin I had.

Worst: I will also say Majesty of the Seas. Very very small.
Best: Splendor aft cabin because of ability to open balconies between bulkheads and have large private party area.

Hey, as I always say, "Any day on a cruise ship is better than......well, any other day."
That being said, the worst cabin(s) we have had were both on the Sensation. Once due to location, interior/Riviera/last cabin aft. Second Sensation: No hot water several times, ran out of juice, fruit and could not even make coffee due to hot water being down.
Best cabin(s) Balcony on Freedom and Dream Mediteranean cruises. Great ships and itineraries with wonderful views from the balcony as we sailed in and out of the beautiful ports of Croatia, Monaco, Venice and others.
