Default Are you a joiner, or a watcher?

On those much loved[ by many] sea days...Do you participate in the poolside activities, or are you the type who just says, leave me alone, I am vegging here..thanks!

If someone goaded you into a belly flop or hairy chest contest would you hyperventilate? Ladies, if you had to pass fruit to the stranger next to you in the pool, would you suddenly turn bright red,and run?

What's your favorite poolside activity?

Give me a good book, a comfortable deck chair in a quiet corner (facing the sea, of course) and something to drink and I am all set. When we did the TA last April, I loved sitting on the deck. I just didn't get to do it enough, as we also took in some lectures and other activities.

I guess you could say I'm a little of both!

If it's just DH and I - I'd be a watcher. If we were in large group, I'd be more inclined to wave my hand saying "pick me".

For the most part, I'm a watcher.

Me Too! Give me an I-Pod full of Good Music, a really comfortable lounger, facing the pool, and a cool drink, and I'm set for quite a few hours. That's my favorite activity aboard ship,,,other than karaoke of course. 8)

Henry my man,,,you haven't experienced life to it's fullest yet! You're going to have to cruise with the old SkyMaster so I can show you how to enjoy the finer things in cruising.

Okay, so there is something in that direction that must be more interesting for you to watch.
I, however, prefer the sea!!

The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) always sits by the pool, and she can't swim,,so I have to make sure that if she falls in I can save the day by going to rescue her. I can't imagine what else you could have in mind????

On our recent cruise you couldn't get NEAR a pool, you couldn't get near a space in the sun, neither did we want to. It really was just like a seal colony, but less attractive, rows of old fat wrinkled bodies inches apart, I found it quite disgusting. Needless to say we didn't join in anything.....come to think of it nobody else moved either!

John

Your views mirrorred exactly the experience one of my friends had on a P&O cruise in the Caribbean last March.

Result: She and her DH will NEVER cruise again! I am trying very hard to persuade her to try one of the Azamara vessels but to no avail.

It has also convinced me never to cruise with P&O and never say never, I am extremely unlikely to sail the Caribbean. I did see it very briefly on a TA crossing - enough to convince me that area is not for me yet.
