Default Bridging Documents and 3 Marriages!

What exactly does it show on a marriage certificate to bridge my birth certificate to my latest married name. I've been married 3 times, and don't have a copy of any of my marriage certificates. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if every marriage certificate shows a maiden name (birth name) or would I have to obtain all 3. I know, I know, a passport would prevent this, but I've always just used my birth certificate and DL with no problem. It would be easy for me to get my last marriage cert to be on the safe side if it shows my maiden name. Getting all 3 would be too hard before my cruise in 2 weeks. I would just have to take my chances again. Thanks in advance for your answers!

your birth certifcate will only have your birth name, no matter how many times you get married, have never had to bring marriage certificate, we have passports, its risky not having a passport, what happens if you miss the ship on an island or if you have to get home for an emergency? file for your passport, its good for 10 years.
