Quick- anyone used CruiseWeb?

Excellent! Best to get their info, and price, and then do some checking and shopping.

This guy's main thing seemed to be that the prices would be the same anywhere, but with him and his company, I'd have someone to walk me through the process step by step. He made no mention of what they could do for me, vis. onboard credits, upgrades, etc. I felt like I knew more than he did, and it seemed like he kept trying to talk me down to a cheaper ship.

Well, he could be right in some respects. Most of the cruise lines do have a flat pricing policy in place, which does not allow agents to offer any price, other than the "company price".

That's not so say you couldn't find some offering group prices which could be cheaper, or onboard credits etc.

Yes I have: for aPrincess cruise to alsaka, for a Hal cruise to Alsaka, for A HAL cruise around South America, for a Princess cruise Beijing to Vancouver, for a HAL cruise to Hawaii and French Polynesia. My cruise consultant is John H. I have always found the Cruise Web to be very honest and to offer fair prices, not necessarily the lowest. however, the consultant listens to your needs and desires and finds the exact cruise to suit you. Plus the Cruise Web goes the extra miles with small amenities they offer: bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and various other little touches that are most welcome. I come from Canada and could easslit y use a TA from here but heard about the Cruise Web from a friend, thried it out & am a satisfied customer. BTW, I don't work for them nor do I get extra discount (though I wish I did...)

Thanks, J! Good to know. But it sounds to me like I could find some other agency that might offer me more things like onboard credits, free upgrades, etc. Wines and fancy chocolates aren't necessarily important or useful to me.

Also, I'm stubborn, and I basically already know the ship and the sailing that I really want (whether it is or is not the "right" cruise for me); I'm just searching for the best place to book it!
