Default Cruiselines could avoid NORO

A few simple steps to help avoid NORO that all cruiselines could implement.

Educating people how to behave in the buffet should be just as important as the MUSTER.

People must know that they can never eat in line, always must use a fresh plate, bowl, glass, hands must be santized before entering the buffet area, no foreign bottles or cups should be used for beverages. People should be fined if they violate.

Just have a video during muster, make people sign statement on their contrats, educate, educate, educate, and punish people who do now follow the rules.

For some reason cruisellines do not want to follow these simple procedures that would safe all of us a lot of grief.

OP... what more do you want them to do ??? There are hand sanitizers all over on most ships, people handing you your plates.....often reminders in the daily paper regarding practicing "cleanliness".....The document stating being of good health when boarding...... Not much more the cruiseline can do really. While it is an important topic for certain, it surely is not in comparison to the Muster Drill by any means. Passengers must take some responsibility for their actions and there are many folks that do not think cleanliness is as important as others. Are you saying that they should have to sign paperwork to have proper cleaning habits when onboard ? And if they violate that, are they going to be asked to disembark ??? Don't see that happening anytime soon.

Noro can find its way aboard a ship for many reasons and not necessarily passed by way that a pax handles food..... Just sayin'

Picking up any kind of a virus while on vacation is not the kind of souviner you want to bring home. And there are worse things. Ever had food poisoning? ( I have, but not from a cruise.) That will definitely ruin your vacation! If you're an obsessive germaphobe, you can only do so much to protect yourself, but it's unrealistic to expect everyone else to be a fanatic about germs. The best thing you can do is take whatever precautions you feel are necessary for yourself, then relax, enjoy your vacation, and don't worry about everyone else. And if you can't, then you'll never be able to really enjoy your vacation. So like the song says, "Don't worry. Be happy".

Many people never wash their hands when using a public restroom.
