Grand Princess in for plastic surgery!

When the Grand Princess came out in 1998, we all scratched our heads at the ususual shopping car design....I sailed her in her innaugural year,and remember seeing her as we drove into port..oh my!

Well, the ghrande dame is going into drydock in the Bahamas,and the handle is being removed,along with other BIG changes....

Princess fans, will you miss the shopping cart? I say off with it!! yayay!

Trip i must disagree with you, i loved going up into Skywalkers Disco- it was great during the day, nice and quiet, overlooking the water, and it was a neat place to be at night

Lisa, I bet you would still be able to find a hidey hole for your personal sanctuary, once they remove it..Astetically [sp] speaking, I think the ship will be be prettier....I loved the water color blue of the balconies..I can't wait to see her after her makeover.

We once tried to have a CM get together up there one night,and we had to leave, because we couldn't hear each other..that was our bad, we went off to a more quiet spot....everyone looked like they were having a ball! Hope they don't lose the disco, for those who love to dance. I hope they don't change the pool area..one of the prettier pools I have seen.

I have sailed the Grand, and, the Golden great cruises both times...I think the dry dock will improve many things.....it's been a while since I have cruised Princess...The Golden in 2000, was a CM cruise, lots of fun! I wish I could put my hands on the staircase picture of all of us, I would post it.
