I imagine that Royal Caribbean will alter the itinerary if there is a radiation threat in the area of the port.

They will not sail into a known hazard area.

I would just go on the cruise and if you get a new port then enjoy your new destinations.

I am not sure if trip insurance would cover this unless you have a cancel for any reason clause. The cruise is not canceled.

Take care,
Mike

I am flying through Tokyo on Monday; I will let you know if I glow when I get home.

Are you on Royal Caribbean air? That would be my big concern as some of the airlines are moving operations to Osaka or Nagoya. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too concerned; after all, you won't be here for another month.

Japan is a wonderful country. All of your ports are far from earthquake damage. You will find the people gracious and the country beautiful. ENJOY.

Last year Royal continued to sail to Haiti after the earthquake there, quietly bringing in relief supplies. They are not unaware of global events.
