Default Do you remember the excitement of the "Doc Dance"?

These days pretty much all the major cruise lines are using electronic documents. You register online and print out your documents soon afterward.

I found out today that for my upcoming Crystal cruise, that Crystal still sends out a personal doc package. I'm very excited to hear that mine will arrive in the next few days.

It's going to be fun to be doin the doc dance once again.

Do you miss anticipating and doing the doc dance, or are you happy just to print them out?

NO, its not quite the same thing printing them out. There was always the added excitment in getting the actual paper docs in the mail, makes the cruise real and upcomming soon...I do miss that ..

For most of us cruisers the "Doc Dance" has gone the way of the Mashed Potato.

I do remember receiving my docs in the nice faux leather document wallet and excitedly going through all of the stuff. It was nice for the first four or five cruises. After that you received your docs in a plastic or paper folder and then I would pull the luggage tags and the actual cruise documents out and throw the other stuff in the trash.

Cruising, for the mass market lines, just isn't as "glamorous" as it used to be. It's still fun though.

Take care,
Mike

I really don't care how I get them as long as I get them. One nice thing about printing them yourself is you can print as soon as final payment so they can go in the folder for the trip. I know the first few cruises when we did have them mailed they came such a shor time prior to sail date that I was wondering if they would come in time. So no more of that anymore.
