I was actually not very impressed with Sydney Opera House when I saw it up close.

Although we had traveled S. America on a land trip and saw Macchu Picchu more than thirty years ago, the very first time I saw the Trevi Fountain I was absolutely moved to tears and sobbing at it's magnificence (second trip...nothing) ..On what has turned out to be our last trip when we went to the Western Wall I was absolutely taken aback and filled with such joy in my heart to see this religious spot was so alive with people of all ages praying, children with their babies in carriages, women in wheelchairs being taken by their daughters and inspite of this being a religious site young school boys playing around. We have most likely ended our cruising life and what we have is our great memories of sights, sounds and people we have met. Just last Sunday a young man asked us how many countries we have visited and as we rolled them off.. whether or a cruise or land vacation we too were awed at the world we have so far seen.. Oh yes, I would have liked to have gone to St. Petersburg, Iceland, Venice and a zillion other places, but Parrot Pop and I count ourselves as lucky human beings to have experienced all we could when we could. Aunt Mame said once that most of the poor slobs in this world haven't enjoyed (or something like that) and there is so much more out there to enjoy...she was right..lol,,, something about them starving.
The Western Wall has to be first. There is SOMEONE there! As so many have done, I tucked a prayer in a crack ... "Salem, Shalom, Salaam Aleikum, Peace on earth."
The Pyramids, even though we have seen sooo many pictures.
Angkor Wat
Not Stonehenge, but Salisbury Cathedral was the place that filled me with awe.
The Sahara Desert in Morocco
Amboseli and Kilamanjaro on safari
The fjords of New Zealand
Glacier Bay, of course
The Strait of Magellan
The Panama Canal
Stromboli
Bali
and on, and on, and on. Traveling fills our minds with so many memories.
